Negotiations Got Nowhere

Scrambling over a boulder Lieutenant Emma Richards gasped as a volley of disruptor bolts blew holes in her cover, although whether it was actually aimed at her was unknown. The brunette hastily brushed her long hair from her face, tying into a ponytail, and drew her phaser, clutching it with both hands against her shapely breasts.

A piercing scream echoed around the rock-strewn plain the Klingons had chosen for the negotiations, the same plain where what seemed like hundreds of warriors were hiding, and Richards cursed both herself and Captain Luceno. It'd been him that had agreed to speak with his Klingon counterpart, dragging her down to the planet due to her record as an expert translator.

She thought she saw the captain fall, his face destroyed by a disruptor bolt, but then she was running, too terrified to see if anyone was hit. Thus far it was her crimson-coloured tunic, only long enough to cover half her toned thighs, that sported any damage, tears and rips that exposed creamy flesh obtained from near-misses and shrapnel.

Peeking around the boulder her heart sank as she counted the bodies littering the ground. Too many were Starfleet, although there were a few unmoving Klingons among them, and as she watched a pair of Klingons appeared, a groaning Human woman being dragged in their grips. Richards recognized her, knowing her as a superior officer within her department, and she wavered, torn between trying to help the other woman or staying hidden.

Another pained scream rang out and Richards felt her resolve harden, leaning out and quickly firing off two shots. She could almost hear the Klingons as they dissolved into quantum mist, could definitely hear her fellow officer cry out as she dropped to the ground, and froze at the sound of chuckling coming from behind her.

She whipped round, trying to aim her phaser, but the appearance of the Orions, not the Klingon she expected, threw her. The green-skinned aliens, a female wearing virtually nothing and a heavily-muscled male clad in rough leathers, were watching Richards, the Orion woman licking her lips as she ran her eyes over the lieutenant.

"I can't believe your captain was stupid enough to think Korrda could actually speak for the Empire. But I thank his shade for delivering so many wonderful pieces of merchandise. You'll fetch a lot for sure." The Orion woman looked at her companion and then turned away as though bored. "Subdue her so we can move on. I'm growing tired of all this stone."
